Born out of a love of property and all things design-related, Twenty Twenty Properties is a unique property consultancy that brings value-added services to the real estate market. We are designers at heart, architects by profession, and real estate agents by trade.
Our Story
Twenty Twenty Properties was born when Martin Firer, a practising architect, saw the opportunity to use his design, construction, and property-related knowledge to provide clients with a distinct advantage when making property-related decisions. By using our design skills to reveal the full potential of a property, and our technical knowledge to do a full appraisal on a property, we are able to assist both buyers and sellers realise their property-related goals.

Our services do not end with the conclusion of a successful sale. Using our wide range of skills and broad network of service providers, we provide a concierge service to make sure your home is move-in ready when you are, and a full design and project management service to turn any house into your dream home.
About Martin
Martin grew up spending his free time exploring and photographing the African bushveld, gardening, sketching and playing sports. His love of the bushveld led to an Honours degree in Botany and Zoology followed by a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science from Oxford University.
It was here that he developed an interest in the urban environment. This led to a professional qualification as an architect and a career in architecture, interior and landscape design, where he combined his passion for the environment with his interests in design and real estate.
He has lived and worked on three continents and his expertise spans the fields of environmental science, design, construction and real estate. His 20+ years of experience ranges from working for community-based environmental NGOs in Latin America to working on billion rand government construction projects in South Africa, to teaching Environmental Design at the University of Cape Town and working intimately with private clients on the design of their dream homes.
Martin has worked alongside people from all walks of life and gained invaluable skills in relationship building, negotiation, coordination, project management and simply getting things done. These skills, a passion for great service and a love for property are what he brings to his work as a property consultant.
